Frequently Asked Questions
What size of bin will I require for my waste?
Bins are sold by the cubic meter and this is the most important consideration to ensure you are able to remove all waste with minimal effort and cost. The best comparison is to understand a standard box trailer (6’ x 4’) is approximately one cubic meter when level with the top side. Otherwise just measure the material if in a pile. The formula is: length x width x height (measured in meters) = cubic meters. This is the approximate size of bin you will require.
How long can I have the bin?
Bin hire period is normally seven (7) days. However, we will not collect the bin until you contact our office and advise to do so. If you need the bin for longer, please advise this at the time of booking.
What kind of material can’t be placed in the bin?
Asbestos in any form (bonded sheets, friable, pipes, corrugated roofing, fibro sheets), food waste, tyres, batteries, liquid waste, hazardous or toxic waste.
Do you service my area?
We service most suburbs in Western Sydney.
Do I need to be there when the bin is delivered and picked up?
No, as long as payment has been organised and you have advised exactly where the bin is to be placed. If you are not on site for delivery it is best to mark the location with a rubbish bin or something similar and give specific details at the time of ordering the bin. Be sure to advise of any special considerations such as low power lines, water meters, narrow driveways etc.
How can I pay for the bin?
Our preferred method of payment is direct deposit but you can also pay by cash or Mastercard and Visa however this is an additional surcharge for credit cards.
Can the bin be placed anywhere I want?
You will need to consider the trucks are 2.5 meters wide but will fit through most driveways. Bins are unloaded straight off the back of the truck and we will require clear access in height of 5 meters. Please consider low power lines, protruding tree branches and any cable services leading to the property.
Can I fill the bin with bricks, soil and concrete?
Yes, but there are weight restrictions so please discuss this with our staff at the time of booking.
Will the bin have a door for wheelbarrow access?
Most of our bins have doors but not all so be sure to advise your requirements at the time of booking.
Can I fill the bin over the rim?
No, this causes safety issues during transport of the bin and is against RMS regulations and drivers are subject to large fines and demerit points. If a bin is overfilled you will be given the option to remove the excess material or hire an additional bin to transfer the material in to.
