Useful information when hiring a skip bin

Size & Type?

Bins are sold by the cubic meter or volume. You will need to know approximately how many cubic meters you require and if you have enough area to accommodate this size bin. Refer to the Bin Sizes tab for more information or speak with one of our team members now.

Access?

Do you have low power lines? Protruding or overhanging branches/bushes in the access way or driveway? Are there hidden taps in the yard or any other obstacles we should be aware of? Is your property on a steep incline? If so, be sure to advise these at the time of booking to ensure we are prepared for your delivery. Our trucks require 3 metres of width and 4.5 metres of height clearance.

Asbestos?

Was you house built before 1990? If so, there is a good chance that fibro asbestos could have been used in the construction. Any amount of Fibro Asbestos will contaminate the bin and you will be liable for significant additional charges. Please read the section on asbestos for more information.

Council Permits?

We highly recommend placing the bin on private property as close to the house or building as possible to deter others from filling your bin. However, if you are planning to place a bin on the road, nature strip or any council owned land then you must obtain permission from that Council via a permit. We can help you acquire this.
